On Monday, March 12th, 2018, MIS proudly hosted Mr. Helmy Elsaeed, the Egyptian endurance cyclist and Guinness World Record Holder.
As our guest, Mr. Helmy provided students from Years 4 – 7 with a valuable insight of his experience in achieving and surpassing targets.
Mr. Helmy used his time to instill the essence of important life skills; such as having personal ambitions, being motivated to push-forward and achieve our goals, whilst always remembering the value of team-work and that every step no matter how small counts.
He touched on subjects such as the benefits of having a healthy lifestyle through what we eat and being physically active by participating in sports. He also explained the prominence of our shared responsibility in regards to road safety in our country and the personal rewards of his self-less charity work in both funding and awareness.
Our students took the opportunity to round up the event with a Q&A session before we thanked Mr Helmy for taking the time to stop by at our school.
