(See step 3)

When we have processed your supporting evidence (from step 2) we will then contact you to invite your child for their age-appropriate assessment and cognitive interview.

Please note your child must be assessed within two weeks of application and our assessment schedule is during the school week based upon the operational needs of the school.

(See step 4)

Our teaching staff will be waiting for your child at the arranged time of their assessment so please make sure they have had a good night’s sleep, eaten a healthy breakfast and are ready to perform to the best of their abilities!
– If you will be late or unable to make it please let us know ASAP.
You will be required to wait in reception whilst your child is taking their assessment (for older children this will be a couple of hours so you may wish to leave (CFC etc. is very nearby) and we can call you when they are done).

(See step 5)

Now we will need a little time for your child’s assessments to be marked and then reviewed by a Head of Department who may request a retake.

Please note the candidate’s cognitive interview may be conducted on a separate date subject to operational needs.

We will then call you to arrange a parents’ interview with one of our directors so we can get to know your family a little better before we make our final decision. We really would love to meet both mum and dad but we understand work commitments so one parent is fine.
Note: If your child is applying for FS1 or FS2 then your parents’ interview will be directly after the assessment.
(See Step 6)

Everyone wants to know if they are accepted or not, and we try to get this important information to you as quickly as possible following the interview so be sure to have your phone with you.

If your child is accepted to join our school you will have 3 business days from the day we inform you to make your payment by bank transfer and our accounts department will send over all the payment details by email.

-Please note on-time payment secures your child’s place as places are limited and will be offered to other acceptable candidates.

  1. Under no circumstances, will any places be held/reserved or any exceptions given.
  2.  Any lateness or non-attendance of arranged assessments/interviews will be logged, punctuality is really important to us.
  3. The school reserves the right to directly request a confidential reference from your child’s current school to assist in our decision making.
  4. Failure to meet our full criteria within 2 weeks of application may result in the cancellation of the application.
  5.  The Directors will then make their decision based upon assessment performance, requested supporting evidence, general behaviour, feedback and the parental interview.
  6.  The decision will be communicated at a later date as directed by the Directors, there will be no additional feedback or assessment results given. The outcome is final and without appeal.
  7.  Preference will be given to candidates against the following criteria:
    1. Siblings of current MIS students,
    2. High achievers
    3. Balanced ratio of males & females
      – provided we have a placement available at the time. If not, the candidate will be placed on our waiting list and candidates who performed best overall during their assessments will receive the first available placement.
  8. Most importantly this process is as much about making sure your child is right for our school as it is about ensuring our school is right for your child.

COVID-19
We ask that all applicants adhere to safety measures including face masks & social distancing whilst present on our campus for the safety of all concerned – please only bring your child to their arranged assessment.
