Hello and welcome to Foundation…

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all our Foundation Stage parents.

“Children are not things to be moulded, but people to be unfolded”. – Jess Lair

We always have this in mind when we care for our students from the age of 3 years and 6 months, starting FS1 until they graduate from our department at the end of FS2.

Our department is dedicated to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum from the UK. The EYFS curriculum promotes that each student is unique and effective results in their overall development. This can be seen when they are proactively and consistently provided with
opportunities to interact in positive relationships within the right enabling environment.

We believe that teaching is not about answering questions but raising questions and opening doors for them in places that they could not imagine.
We do that whilst maintaining a safe environment. If children feel safe, they will take risks, ask questions and make mistakes, then they will learn to trust, share their feelings, and grow.

This year once again requires the use of extra precautions to ensure the safety of our youngest students, these include desk dividers, the wearing of masks plus additional deep sanitisation of all areas and equipment.

We have developed an online platform for communication and if needs be a shift to online delivery of e-learning suitable for their ages.

It is also our responsibility to introduce & encourage our students onto their journey into education taught in English as a first language.

Our experienced and highly qualified team have a fresh & enthusiastic outlook along with amazing skills for working with young children. As a team, we aim to ensure our students’ first steps into education are both enjoyable and memorable.

We look forward to a collaborative and fruitful year.

Best Wishes
Ms. Paola La Valle Reale
